As far as $20 Barossa Valley Shiraz goes, this is just about spot on. Juicy ripe dark berries with a little spice and perfumed vanilla and coconut oak in support. Medium to full bodied, slurpy and juicy, but with a good amount of grip and shape courtesy of a spread of open weave grainy tannin. Finish is gently tannic and fresh with perky acidity. Excellent.
