Domaine La Suffrene is a family estate that has been passed through the family for generations. A 50-hectare domaine spread across varying soils of sand, limestone, chalk and clay. Grapes harvested from the domaine were destined for the local co-op before Cedric Gravier, under the assistance of the grandfather, took control and began estate bottling. Cedric has built a new state of the art winery utilising stainless steel fermenters and large oak foudres.
Note: A blend of Mourvedre (40%), Cinsault (30%), Grenache (20%) & Carignan (10%).
"The wine undergoes a long cool ferment in stainless steel. The wine does not undergo Malolactic fermentation. “Very pure, with a brisk sea salt note imparting lovely cut, while the flavours of dried strawberry, watermelon seed and peach play out through the lengthy finish. A precise rosé. Drink now through 2016.”
