Ten-ish bucks – and sometimes sold for less. Tempranillo from La Mancha. Grown at altitudes ranging from 500 to 650 metres. Vines around the 25 year old mark. Sees no oak; all maturation is in stainless steel. Meaty, smoky approach. Clean and savoury yet hit with good fruit too. Dry licorice. Spicy finish. Clean, unforced, tangy length. Brilliant value, all things considered. You could take this anywhere. And that, really, is the raison d’etre of this brand.
