This Lone Star Vineyard wine represents part one of our two forays into the variety in 2014. It leapt out of the gates & after barrel fermentation, a bit of stirring, partial MLF & a short maturation in oak it had proved itself ready for the bottle in quick fashion - it was a moment that we felt we had to capture & we think it could be our finest expression of the variety to date.
Hand picked, pressed straight to barrel & then wild yeast fermented in 25% new/75% old French oak barriques. Partial MLF, no fining, racked, settled (but not filtered) & then into bottle.
