Our Shiraz is selected from old vines on varying sites, mostly deep hillside red/brown terra rossa soil of limestone parentage. This wine is matured in French oak of varying ages for 18 months. Black Cherry, stewed red stone fruits with spicy cinnamon, clove notes and a hint of tar. Classic Hunter savoury Shiraz characters with a dense fruit palate but restrained. A good level of pepper and spice backed up by red berry compote flavours with the tannins showing strength but not aggression.
