Turkey Flat Rose – made using (mostly) grenache but with input from cabernet sauvignon, shiraz and mataro. Indeed grenache makes up 95% of the wine. It’s a beauty. Velvety mouthfeel, plenty of perfume, ripe fruit but no real sign of sweetness. It’s pale, pale crimson, tending towards pink but with nothing electric about it. It belongs in the ‘pale club’, but it has fruit, flavour and a tonne of smashability too. It would be hard not to love drinking this.
