Only a quick tasting here. Needs some time in a decanter I’d suggest.
Very smoky and rubbery, spice, meat, beetroot, dark cherries, subtle high quality oak influence. Medium bodied, cherry and raspberry, ‘minerally’ feel with some dried herbal seasoning – and pushing through the reduction the underlying fruit here is very good – length and firm tannin to close. Good wine, dry and assertive, with plenty of character. Be interested to see what comes with bottle age.
